A lot of things have happened since this past April.
My dad died 8 days after my last journal entry.
We sold our house and moved to Colorado. (Husband got a promotion.)
That's pretty much the gist of it.
So now I'm back. Hopefully I'll fill my folders with new art. I do have new pictures I've taken since moving here. I just never had a good way to edit them since my computer has been hooked up to the TV in the living room. Can't really edit pictures from 20 feet away.
Sooo... now I have a Cintiq. The small one but it's the one I am starting with for now. Early Christmas present from my husband. I haven't tried it yet, but I am about to in minute or two.
Well, that's about it.

Update.
Well, the year is going as I would have hoped. This is really just an update about things just in case anyone was wondering about my inactivity.
My husband started a new job, and that has been a little bit stressful. But the main thing is that my father is dying from lung cancer in my mother's house next door and I've been watching his continuous progress from my father into this very sick person that will die very soon. I never imagined in my life that I would ever experience anything like this, but there it is. Only 6 months ago he was walking around and was happy as far as I knew. I suppose this would be considered a rapid deterioration.

Obligatory first post of the year.
I have not been too active on here as I am always distracted by other (less productive) things.
I think for this year, I will try to get better at photography. I've decided that this is what I really want to do with my time, with art being a close second. Other than that, no promises. My interests are too flighty and my attention, fickle.
I do hope to get some more work done on my world building project. This would require me actually finishing a preliminary first draft of the world map. Ha. Ha ha ha. Yeah. Well, I should probably just get it done and then worry about polishing it up later. Funny how hard
